
Matt Biancaniello is a chemist when it comes to cocktails!! Careful now Matt…don’t spill!
Matt is THE mixologist at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA! He has had everyone from the LA Weekly to winning competitions! He is hands down one of the most dedicated and talented mixologists I have met. His creativity and vision far exceeds my palettes ability to comprehend the most complex combinations of cocktail ingredients.
He shops like any chef every moment he gets to find the freshest and in season produce to work with. Every Wednesday he goes to the local farmer’s market and chooses from the finest organic produce to make his cocktails with.
I have the privilege to work with him on every Wednesday night at the Library Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel. I unknowingly sat down to do a taste test on some cocktails he conjured up for my event and I LOST MY MIND! The combinations of fresh rosemary and bell pepper with Belvedere Orange Vodka?!? Who would have ever thought? Some of his cocktails are seriously like eating a salad, or entree at a restaurant! He even has a Truffle Martini!!

You can’t go wrong with any cocktail you choose. And just in case there is nothing on the menu that strikes your taste buds, just tell him your preferrences and he will whip up a masterpiece with a snap of the fingers!…Literally.

Wednesday night deejay, DJTatiana, enjoying the non alcoholic version of the “Heaven in Verbena” Belvedere Vodka cocktail. That’s right, you don’t have to be an alcohol drinker to enjoy Matt’s genius works! Fresh raspberries, lemon verbena, and agave muddles together!!

I admit there have been days where I haven’t eaten and I come in and just pick from his array of produce at the bar.

This is “Tomato Patch”. Fresh heirloom tomato muddles with Belvedere vodka and purple basil!! I am not a tomato juice drinker, but I can not deny that I crave this now!

Ism…Cocktails don’t have to be so textbook and literal. Step out of the rut your palette is in and wake your taste buds up with any cocktail Matt Biancaniello whips up. He is an individualist when it comes to mixology. I am one that is not impressed often, and he has left a lasting impression that I can not deny.
