My good friends over at NIKE invited me over to the Montalban Theater in Hollywood to design my own pair of sneakers.  With a little help from my 10 yr old daughter, who has a visionary’s imagination for what will work on a sneaker, and my Kenny (who is an expert in the sneaker game) this is what the finished product ended up being! Thanks NIKE iD!!

Matt Biancaniello is a chemist when it comes to cocktails!! Careful now Matt…don’t spill!

Matt is THE mixologist at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA! He has had everyone from the LA Weekly to winning competitions!  He is hands down one of the most dedicated and talented mixologists I have met.  His creativity and vision far exceeds my palettes ability to comprehend the most complex combinations of cocktail ingredients.

He shops like any chef every moment he gets to find the freshest and in season produce to work with.  Every Wednesday he goes to the local farmer’s market and chooses from the finest organic produce to make his cocktails with.

I have the privilege to work with him on every Wednesday night at the Library Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel. I unknowingly sat down to do a taste test on some cocktails he conjured up for my event and I LOST MY MIND!  The combinations of fresh rosemary and bell pepper with Belvedere Orange Vodka?!?  Who would have ever thought?  Some of his cocktails are seriously like eating a salad, or entree at a restaurant!  He even has a Truffle Martini!!

You can’t go wrong with any cocktail you choose. And just in case there is nothing on the menu that strikes your taste buds, just tell him your preferrences and he will whip up a masterpiece with a snap of the fingers!…Literally.

Wednesday night deejay, DJTatiana, enjoying the non alcoholic version of the “Heaven in Verbena” Belvedere Vodka cocktail. That’s right, you don’t have to be an alcohol drinker to enjoy Matt’s genius works! Fresh raspberries, lemon verbena, and agave muddles together!!

I admit there have been days where I haven’t eaten and I come in and just pick from his array of produce at the bar.

This is “Tomato Patch”. Fresh heirloom tomato muddles with Belvedere vodka and purple basil!! I am not a tomato juice drinker, but I can not deny that I crave this now!

“Grapes of Wrath” is the new fav choice for many…..

Ism…Cocktails don’t have to be so textbook and literal.  Step out of the rut your palette is in and wake your taste buds up with any cocktail Matt Biancaniello whips up.  He is an individualist when it comes to mixology.  I am one that is not impressed often, and he has left a lasting impression that I can not deny.

QTICA is the ultimate!!  This is hands down the best product I have found to apply to my nails topically and help sustain and improve my nails.  Not only does it perform as explained in the description but it also is without alot of the chemicals that are harmful to our bodies and the environment.  Whether you are a weekly manicure gal or struggle so much that you have surrendered to acrylic nails, you need to include QTICA in your nail care regime.

Zyliss has made it so easy to wash lettuce and other greens.  I have always dreaded the task of washing greens, especially cilantro!  I am always cooking with it so I’ve become a master at cleaning it.  But never liked having to…now my woes have turned into cheers!  It saves time and I I get volunteers in the kitchen now to help.  My daughter loves using it and considers herself a pro now!lol.

What are you waiting for?  Go get yourself one and find yourself eating much more salad than before, which is what we all aspire to do when setting goals to eat healthier.

Ism…No More excuses!! Zyliss is a handy tool to keep eating healthy convenient and efficient!  I have noticed that in our home we have been eating alot more salads>  Since when is that such a bad thing? LOL

Plain and simple….everyone needs SpaRitual. Not only is the entire line organic, but has no parabens.  The oil based lotions are soothing and smell incredible.  Let me know what you think about this ensemble….seriously, these 3 lil bottles have changed my relationship with my cuticles.

Ten Over Six is an accessory and lifestyle store on Beverly Blvd. The creativity in this boutique is bountiful. I go in to not only see what beautiful new bobbles I might have to make mine, but as well I get some great decorating ideas for my house!

I love how they use the idea of the Madd Hatter’s Tea Party to create a little world all it’s own.  I am taking notes on the handbag display!  I love the the hands coming out of the walls. That is so much more creative than a plain old hook.

This is what I call a refreshing new way of displaying your most beautiful jewelry! DOIN’ IT!

Ism…Think outside of the box.  There are  a million different ways of doing things. Choose to decorate in a way that is a true reflection of your personality.  Don’t be afraid to take chances, you just might love what you choose.

Habibi bodycare is beyond AMAZING!!

Shahada was gracious enough to have sent me a gift package of some of her favorites.  I am so grateful and thankful!!  This little package of wonderful products has changed my life!

The Deodorant has been a God send….I have been searching for alternative deodorant that actually works for about a year now.  This stuff has stood the test of hot and dry Cali summers as well as hot and humid NY summers. No more burning and no more smelly mid day armpits!!

The Shampoo for Hair & Body is incredible.  Keep squeeky clean and smell fresh while everything in it is organic and all natural! I used to always breakout with irritations after using most gels and scrubs.  I am relieved to say that after using this body “shampoo” I have not had one bump on my skin of any sort.  My skin is soft and moisturized.

The Lip Therapy moisturizer applies as smoothly as your lips feel after you put it on. No more chapped lips for me this winter!!

The Body Soap bar is like no other body bar I have ever had. I love how I can feel the difference in the soap immediately.

I use Habibi products as well as my entire family.  It is going to take alot of coaxing to talk me into using anything else.  After you try them out for yourself you will see.  I highly recommend all of the products above!

Ism…Organic, all Natural beauty care products exsist!  It is not necessary to continue using products that have harmful chemicals and additives.  I believe Mother Earth has supplied us with all we need to take care of ourselves with the vegetation that grows all around us.

LOVE…this is a curvy girls dream dress! and the back of it is so sexy…

From the lining on the inside of the trench, the side piping on the trousers and them booties?!

I am a sucker for sweatshirts….and to think Wang decided to follow Norma Kamali’s vision for making beautifully designed sweats, well…I am tickled pink! Or should I say “Spotted Animal style”.  I am feelin the kimono like sweatshirt top and the parachute pants are already worked into my budget for 2010.  The final touch of perfection is the leather shoulder detail…LOVE the caramel and heather grey combo.

I am totally feeling the knee highs with the band backing…old school gentlemen’s style.  This sweater/skirt knit is an easy, for any occasion type of look. Anyone will look great in this.

I am all about this look….minus the brief bottoms!  But the leopard shoes and knee high’s/ the corset over your typical sweatshirt is a look I will have this in 2010…maybe sooner!

As for what I am loving for the holiday season that is fast approaching us is these beautiful versions of the “black cocktail dress” and “FEIRCE pencil leg suit”.

love the cut outs! and the back cut outs are yummy too.

I am all about this as long as that isnt really croc…the look is ridiculously sexy though.

Ism…We set our own limitations on what we think we can or can not do in life. Alexander Wang is proof of that.  Greatness is what has been achieved from his positive thoughts.
