I was thoroughly impressed by the production crew while on set!
I currently have a Target commercial that is airing. It was shot a month ago. While on set, I was in aah over how eco-concious Target and their production team is! It was so easy to contribute to their efforts by participating with the very simple signs they posted….everywhere.

It really is this easy to compost and recycle!
Target is REALLY my favorite place for being eco-efficient! It is a challenge just to keep a set with 100 or so of crew working clean, let alone environmentally aware. Target’s set was clean AND contributing to make sure we were all educated on how to compost and recycle properly. And the icing on the cake was when they asked me for regular pics of me to put in the background of the set….to give it a more authentic feel. So I had to take a pic of myself on set with one of the pics the production chose of my friend from high school, Amber Jacobsen!!

I am pretty sure someone had a lil crush on her. Of all the photos I gave production, this one was Everywhere!
Thanks Target for the opportunity to work on your eco-set!…and for choosing me too!
Ism…Life these days are about conserving, reusing, recycling, and being more aware of ways we can do more to help Earth, instead of hurt her. I am always impressed by those that take a stand and make the effort to actively practice all of these things everyday. Target is not only the place to shop, but it stands in a class all it’s own when it comes to eco-conciousness. If only all the sets I work on would get involved with doing their part to save our environment! Good going Target!

Beautiful packaging!!
My friends over at Smashbox always send me their latest to try out. This was their “Earth day” themed palette. The bamboo packaging is recyclable or reusable! The box it came in is recycled goods and can be composted!! I love the colors they chose. I have been rocking the blush everyday and the goldish metallic colored eyeshadow is the perfect eye brightener for day to day wear! If you are on the fence about organic makeup products, get this one. It will change your mind. The colors are great together to give you a perfect smoky blend that will have everyone looking deep into your eyes!! I love Palettes because they take the guessing out of ‘which eyeshadow goes with which blush’. The work has been done, just apply.
The best part is that when you purchase this palette, a portion goes to Trees for the Future. A non profit organization that plants trees worldwide to support communities through creating sustainable environments by forestation. Every time a purchase is made on a Mother Earth Palette, Smashbox will have a tree planted! I personally am dedicated to contributing to this organization and am extatic that Smashbox is too!

Ism…It is important to see ways to collaborate with others, supporting eachother’s goals. Teamwork People!! There is always a power in numbers. As my Dad has always told me, “We are supposed to find ways to work together. We are all family. There is no “I” in “TEAM”. Smashbox is known for award winning cosmetics. They win an award with me for knowing what teamwork is and for supporting good causes like Trees for the Future.

Prive Grooming Creme w/ herbal blend #40 is fantastic!
I was introduced to this hair product about 5 years ago. I used it and loved it and… forgot about it! I recently saw this in my favorite beauty supply and had to get more. I have learned over the years to look on the label, read the ingredients; know what I am putting on my hair. As I did so I was quite surprised and thrilled to read how herbally balanced this hair creme is! No wonder my hair loves it so much! It is formulated with rosemary and spirulina to define texture and enhance shine. Some of the first ingredients mentioned are chamomile, panax ginseng, castor oil, and nettle! Just a dab goes a long way and helps to control frizz, flyaway, and is great on mixed ethnicity hair. The best part about Prive Grooming Creme is if you use this product in your hair one day, the second day is even better!…just rinse your hair with warm water to help seal the hair follicle with the product and you can create a whole different look from the day before without having to add more product!! That means it is economically cooperative and herbal luxury. Great on short hair, men or women!

Ism…I have always said beauty starts from the inside and reflects out. But it is always great when we, as consumers, can also choose to use products that induce and nourish that beauty on the outside! I might have forgotten about this once, but never again!!

The fabric choice on these Dunks are oh so sweet.
Although these lil’ chicks won’t be hatchin’ for a while, I will be rockin’ them first! LOL… When they do come out next month go get yourself a pair. They are perfect with just about anything! I tend to name my shoes….these are called “Tweety Birds”! Thanks to my peeps at Nike for always keeping me in an individualist state of mind!
Ism…Sneakers are a great alternative to other shoes. Take a leap of faith and opt to wear them instead of your typical ballet flat or flip flop, next time you are in a casual look but looking to add a certain flare. They are fashionable and comfortable. As well as a show stopping conversation piece that is worth chatting about! I love finding new ways to exude confidence and a flair of creativity that is unique and reflective of my evolving personality! You try it and see. It is infectious.

Creative Coalition Oscar Suite Gift bag.
Every so often the gifting suites are surprisingly good. Funny part is I always end up giving most of the gifts away to people around me instead of keeping it. The Kipling carry-on bag went to my daughter for her sleep away field trip. The Foster Grant sunglasses went to my sister who trys to “mysteriously lose mine”. The necklace went to my friend who works in PR, who invited me. The handbag from Magali Bags, I kept but let my other sister “borrow”. The My Charmed Pet couture leash is for my dog, Louis. The Lashfood eyelash lengthener went to my girlfriend. The organic sweatshop free Me To We Style t- shirt I did keep…and the Nolan Miller earrings. The OPI nail polish and grooming tools from their Fall/Winter 2008 Collection De France, I gave out to co workers as Thank Yous.

Love OPI, just wish they were more eco friendly…hint, hint.
There is a proposal going to Mr. President regarding the importance of the arts for children that creative coalition is supporting so a couple of us actors were asked to say a couple words on camera. photographer Brian Smith was there to document it.

Warren Tricomi hairstylists were there to keep me picture perfect!

One of my favorite makeup artists to work with, Kendra Richards. She is such a sweetheart.
And here is one of the shots he snatched up for the cause…

I can’t wait to see the finished product Brian!!
Ism…It is a blessing to be given gifts, but while I receive graciously, I give generously. I am thankful to be given the opportunity to give in various ways whether it be through my time, or through financial contributions. It is important for all of us to give back to society and to the Earth. No matter how big or small you may think the contribution might be, the Power of Action and Intention is Irreplaceable. Give.

Ism…The economic challenges we face in our world currently doesn’t have to reflect into our closets. You might have to search the deals out, but there are so many great gems at the end of the rainbow. It IS about how much you spend…but that DOESN’T mean it has to be hundreds of dollars to be fashionable!!! Wanted is the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow, as far as sandals are concerned!
