Fall Out of Summer Gracefully
I am not the type of woman who gets to start over with a new wardrobe every season. I do know some women who do have that option. I have to honestly say I am not sure if I did have that ability to ditch my closet I would. I am one of those fashionistas that likes to integrate old with new. I love finding an older piece that has been hiding in my closet and revive it by adding on trend accessories or a staple piece to create an entire new look. It’s savy and saving, two verbs and adjectives I love!
This week is the perfect time to start adding different pieces that can make for an easier transition to your current wardrobe. It is also a great way to be better prepared for the weather to switch up on you! So before you venture out shopping for your kids, try to make a small list of a couple items you need to keep your wardrobe up to par. Last thing you want is to have the kids looking better than their mama! (YOU DESERVE THE SPOILAGE TOO!) I like to always update my basics first because they always get the most wear. Be on the lookout for a great new trouser pant! Zara never fails to keep it sophisticated, yet super cool. Printed florals trousers are in full bloom and you can’t turn away for $59.99! And they have pockets!! Always a must while chasing after kids or storing the lipstick and keys when out with the girls
The waxed denim look is super chic and all the rage currently. I like going to SHOPBOP to find a wide variety of brands with different interpretations of the same style. Citizens of Humanity is a dependable brand that usually has a universal fit without drawing attention to the baby weight I still cannot melt away. (I hate to admit I still have some muffin.) Their Racer Leatherette Jeans for $228.00 are kinda amazing! The color is perfect for Fall and Holiday! Definitely a smart investment. Wear them casually or dress them up for a night out.
And if you haven’t noticed from these two examples, a classic chunky healed leather bootie is a must this year. I already have a couple but in case you don’t here are some great options that can have you ready for any occasion. ShopBop has a good affordable option at $180 that will look great with a printed floral or plaid numba with fishnet tights or with a sleek trouser like pictured above.
Another alternative from Zara are these Block Heel Ankle Boots for $100 that will allow you to get some extra thangs for the family…since they need stuff too.
