Haute Mommy Toddy

With the winter season in full effect, I thought I would share a recipe for a hot toddy that gets nods all around in my world.  I actually tested out a new recipe replacing honey for maple syrup and the bees sting kept its buzz! When feeling the first signs of a cold or flu I highly suggest making this toddy. I recommend doing the following: Change into your snuggly house coat or favorite hoodie. Get your favorite chill spot set up with a cashmere throw and a good book... Read The Rest →

The Best Pumpkin Pie

Every year as November approaches I start to get into a baking mood.  As a kid I remember my excitement that I would have as my mom would make her Pumpkin Pie.  Now that I have kiddos, I would like to hope that I can give them that same nostalgia. As I looked over the instructions I got possessed by my isms and decided to experiment and see what the bread would taste like with veggies. My toddler is... Read The Rest →

Grandma’s Fideo

This recipe is a very traditional mexican recipe.  I am sure in every mexican household there are certain variations, but I feel this one is the bestest ever.  And not just because I am being totally bias opinion!…Well maybe.  This always makes me think of childhood memories I have going over to spend the night with my Grandma and walking into her house welcomed by the smell of Fideo!  It is a total comfort food. My Grandma taught my aunts and my Mom the recipe. They taught my sisters and... Read The Rest →

Leftover Rice Eats

If you are ever wondering what to do with leftover rice in the fridge I have some suggestions!!  Try adding one cup of leftover rice to a salad for added hearty twist. Or for some fun flare make rice balls for the kids and Mommy to enjoy.  You can hide all the “yucky” veggies your kids would “never “ eat! You can even add some squash or brussel sprouts(just use a shredder and shred them) Just take whatever veggies you have and blend them together with a quarter cup of... Read The Rest →
